Family Dispute Resolution + Workplace Conflict Management + Individual Support +

Mediating Effectiveness is a comprehensive behavioral dialogue, mediation and coaching system for personal, family and workplace conflict. Conflict is unavoidable, yet illuminates what’s going on within us and in our context, providing insight into our state of being, the quality of our presence and our effectiveness. This includes our awareness, perceptions, self regulation, and consequent behaviors. By integrating mindfulness with behavioral and management sciences, we can greatly enhance our internal and external harmony and development.

Internal and External Mediation is the intervention in a process, processes going on within us and in our environment. Through careful inquiry, we can explore the self, our internal dynamics and relational dynamics, with consideration of and integration with our contexts, enabling deeper understanding of our past, the present, and our way forward. This approach also compliments and encourages the awareness, perspective, structured problem-solving and relational dynamics essential in facilitated conversations and mediated cases.

Areas of Practice

Mediation

Resolution for personal, family and workplace conflict following a behavioral mediation framework that focuses on self-awareness and effective relational dynamics within our context. The pre-mediation phase focuses on the self, while considering context specific behavior, ensuring improved outcomes for individuals and the entity, whether workplace, family business or the social and family system.

Coaching

Empowering individuals to better navigate personal, family and business challenges through a comprehensive model of behavioral and contextual inquiry and analysis. The 'conflict lens' provides an illuminating and effective internal and external view of personal and professional presence (self), relational dynamics (self and others), the workplace and or family (self and context) and the interrelationship between the three.

Assessment

Understanding family and organizational issues to discover the core concerns of all involved. A systematic approach to understand the context facilitates awareness, and the discovery and implementation of solutions, leading to real and sustainable change and development.

Training

Workplace training focused on personal and professional effectiveness enhancing professional presence and interpersonal dynamics. Outcomes include reduced conflict, increased resilience, decreased stress, improved morale, and more effective communication and collaboration across the organization.

Andrew MacDonald

FOUNDER

Over 25 years of human physiology, behavior and conflict management experience in private practice and consulting and leadership roles within the public, private and non-profit sectors has provided insight into the profound impact conflict has on individuals, families, employees, and organizations, and of course our broader lives. Through understanding conflict, its source and expression, we gain an invaluable window into ourselves and others. Using this conflict lens, I developed a systematic and trauma-informed approach to improve self-awareness, presence, relational dynamics, and our decision-making, positively transforming our lives on a personal level as well as within our social, family and professional contexts.
